Why is this so common in Nigeria? People are given responsibilities in fields far away from their profession.

Today in Abi, new LG Executive Arm was inaugurated by the Chairlady of council; Mrs. Edith Amadi lo and behold, a barrister (Barr Lawrence Eko Edu) was made Supervisor for Health & Social Welfare. Does it mean that there are no health personnels in Abi? How do you then expect him to function effectively and efficiently?

That inauguration is not much worth to commend. Just imagine one person being given multiple offices to administerate – Mrs Mary Moses Edem – Supervisor for Education, Information, Youth & Sports. Even an imbecile will know that this lady who is not jack-of-all-trade has already failed to deliver these responsibilities overloaded on her.

I hereby call on the commissioner for Local Government Affairs who was present at the event to look into this committee with four eyes and thereafter come up with something beneficial for the Abi people and Cross River State at large.
